Matthew’s Jewelers Hosts an Evening of Jewels, Fine Art & Savory Foods to Benefit LifeNet4Families Cooperative Feeding Program

Plantation, FL (February 29, 2012) – A night of jewelry, art and food will directly improve the lives of Broward County residents in desperate need.  February 9, Matthew’s Jewelers in Plantation, FL hosted a fund raising event to benefit the locally based non-profit feeding program, LifeNet4Families.  Owner Andrea Silverman, along with Anne & John Karay of Park West Gallery presented a check for $3,100 to LifeNet’s Frank Fernandez, Director of Financial Development and Russell T. Martin, CEO.

The evening included a luxury silent auction featuring jewels generously donated by Matthew’s Jewelers and artwork by well-known artists such as Romero Britto,   graciously provided by Park West Gallery of Fort Lauderdale.  A raffle for a deco inspired, diamond encrusted watch provided by Michele Watches along with fine wine, gourmet food and dessert pairings round out the evening.

Proceeds from the evening go directly toward meeting and sustaining the needs of Broward residents, from the basics of daily meals and health clinics to classes in life skills and job training.
