Matthew’s Jewelers Hosts A Holiday Celebration

Benefiting Kids In Distress

Plantation, FL (December 14, 2011) – Matthew’s Jewelers once again makes the holidays shine a bit brighter for local children.  Owners Mark and Andrea Silverman hosted their 3rd annual holiday event December 1st-3rd with jewelry sale proceeds benefiting Kids In Distress Auxiliary, the West Broward arm of KIDS.

Guests were encouraged to visit the Matthew’s Jewelers “Giving Tree”.  During the event, guests leaving an unwrapped toy, book or game for a child ages 6 months to 12 years, received a special gift themselves as the family-owned businesses’ way of saying thank you for making a difference in a child’s life!

Julie Motes and Mary Baker, Co-Presidents of Kids In Distress Auxiliary, accepted a check from the event for $3,000, in addition to a van full of donated toys, books and games.
